I posted a test on SL forums to show off the gain brought by the multi-threaded image decoder and the texture fetcher boosting. Here is the video (refer to the forum post for the testing protocol description).
Seems Firestorm picked up the change as well (as talked about and allowed in the SL Forum)
Only part of them: no trace of the texture fetcher boosting, or the image worker unleashing... They will not fully benefit from all the power the multi-threaded decoder can provide... Their problem.
