Here is a new release of the Cool VL Viewer, available now from http://sldev.free.fr/: This is a bugfix release and a recommended update. Cool VL Viewer v1.32.2.53 (stable branch): New in this release: - Backported from LL's viewer-gltf_mesh_import all recent changes and fixes to the glTF mesh model loader.
- Backported from LL's viewer-release-2025.06 a fix for "crash at meshopt_generateVertexRemapMulti()" that could potentially be seen in low free memory conditions.
- Plugged two potential crash bug cases due to race conditions while periodically cleaning up the mesh repository skin map from unused data.
- Added threaded initial joint rigging data caching on mesh skin fetch.
- Code cleanup (with removal of dead code) and some speed optimizations.
- Linux only: recompiled Dullahan against the latest CEF 138 release. The x86_64 CEF library is also now compiled using the thin LTO optimization (should make it faster).
- Linux only: added the possibility to force the use of choosen pre-built libraries when building the viewer against the system libraries (see the new "USEPREBUILT*" cmake variables in linden/indra/cmake/Variables.cmake), and modified the linux-build.sh script to allow passing custom cmake options after a double-dash (" -- ") in the command line. See this use case, for example.
Enjoy !

Here is a new release of the Cool VL Viewer, available now from http://sldev.free.fr/: This is an emergency bugfix release and users of v1.32.2.53 should update to it. Cool VL Viewer v1.32.2.54 (stable branch): New in this release: - Reverted/disabled the "threaded initial joint rigging data caching on mesh skin fetch" optimization introduced in v1.32.2.53 and which was causing crashes on some systems under certain (unclear) circumstances. See this message for details.
- Plugged the information leakage (IP, user agent string, etc) to unauthorized sites used for Media on a Prim (MoaP), due to the implicit MIME probe connections. There is a new "Filter MIME probes" check box in the "Preferences" floater, "Audio & media" tab, "Media" sub-tab to toggle this new feature (defaulting to enabled). Do read the tool tip for it !
Enjoy !

Here is a new release of the Cool VL Viewer, available now from http://sldev.free.fr/: This is a bugfix release and a recommended update. Cool VL Viewer v1.32.2.55 (stable branch): New in this release: - Backported from LL's viewer-gltf_mesh_import all the latest changes and fixes to the glTF mesh model loader.
- Backported from LL's viewer-release-2025.06 a fix for "pressing cancel on material picker reverts an override even when it shouldn't".
- Fixed a crash bug in the asset storage code, sometimes seen when closing the viewer during the login process.
- Fixed a crash on exit that could happen at the very end of the program shutdown process (while running the C++-compiler-generated cleanup code), when the LLPipeline global instance member variables are destroyed (the bug was in the LLRenderTarget destructor that could try and use GL calls after the GL context is destroyed).
- As a corollary of the above bugfix, made LLGLManager into a purely static class (instead of using a global instance, also subject to the unpredictable destruction order), so that the GL context validity flag (and any other flag) in it can be safely tested in the destructors of global class instances.
- Re-added (fixed) threaded initial joint rigging data caching on mesh skin fetch (and, just in case, this feature can be disabled via the new "CacheMeshJointRiggingOnFetch" debug setting). See this message for details.
- Fixed an issue with PBR reflections shaders being wrongly fed with the mirror clip plane for a mirror which is no more active (not updated any more since not in FOV or too far away, or after mirrors rendering got manually turned off).
- Updated libsqlite3 to v3.50.3.
- Linux only: recompiled Dullahan against the latest CEF 138 release.
Enjoy !
