Well, it looks like LL is so impatient to segregate adult contents that they shortened dramatically the release candidate process for the v1.23 viewer... It is a mistake, in my opinion, given the number of bugs still plaguing v1.23.

Anyway...

The Cool SL Viewer v1.23.4.0 release 2 (stable viewer, Windlight branch) is available now from http://sldev.free.fr/.

So, here are two more releases, available now from http://sldev.free.fr/:

Cool SL Viewer v1.19.0.5 release 61 (stable branch, legacy renderer)
Cool SL Viewer v1.23.4.0 release 3 (stable branch, Windlight renderer)

The changes are:
  • RestrainedLife updated to v1.18a.
  • New DefaultSaveLoadDirectory patch (makes the viewer use the HOME directory instead of the installation directory as the default directory when uploading or saving files).
  • New ShowFriendsInMiniMap patch for v1.19 (shows your friends as yellow dots in the mini-map, like what happens in v1.22 and later viewers).

The changes are:
  • New AllowCopyWornAttachments, TextureCacheHiccups and InvisibleAvatars patches for v1.23.
  • Updated TextureCacheHiccups patch and new LLFaceVerifyCrash, LoadingContentsContextMenuCrash patches for v1.19.

The above patches fix annoying problems and crash bugs, so it is very worth updating your viewer.

Cool SL Viewer v1.23.4.0 release 6 (stable branch, Windlight renderer)

The changes are:

  • PrimBackup patch implemented: this code, borrowed from the Meerkat viewer, debugged and improved by me, allows to export and import objects (full perm objects only, and only the primitives and textures), allowing you to backup and restore them and/or to transfer them between grids. To export, right click on the object, select "More>" and "More>" again in the pie menu, then "Export". To Import, use the corresponding option in the File menu: Import (to restore on the same grid), or Import and Upload textures (to upload on another grid).
  • RestrainedLife updated to v1.19b. @rediremote wrongly redirected OOC (Out Of Character) chat (text starting and ending with double parenthesis, such as ((AFK, BRB)) or ((Safeword ! Please, don't do that to my avatar !))...). v1.19b prevents any redirection to happen with OOCs, even when both @redirchat and @rediremote active. This change will also be reflected into Marine's next patch version.
  • For v1.23.4.0: TeleportHistory updated (fixes a bug which made the Teleport button inactive in the Teleport History floater).
  • For v1.23.4.0: NoVoiceWarningSpam patch added: prevents the viewer from generating enormous log files on grids without voice support (OpenSim grids).

Here are two new releases of the Cool SL Viewer, available now for Linux from http://sldev.free.fr/:

Cool SL Viewer v1.23.4.0 release 9 (stable branch, Windlight renderer)

New in these releases:
  • RestrainedLife updated to v1.20c (fixes a couple of crash bugs).
  • Updated ExplandedBuildTools (v1.19.0.5)/ImprovedbuildTools (v1.23.4.0) patches: now allow to set 100% transparency in the build floater tools.
  • Updated OldTrackingDotsInMinimap patch: because of server/viewer messaging limitations, it is currently not possible to distinguish between an avatar at 0m of altitude from another above 1020m of altitude (they therefore both appear as "below you" in the mini-map). To work around this problem, the Cool SL Viewer now uses a different symbol (a small, horizontal bar) for such avatars.
  • Updated PrimBackup patch: the primitives now got their name and description saved and restored.
  • New TextHistoryOnSendIMbutton patch (included in MUposeStyleAndOOCautoClose_v3): fixes a bug where the IMs sent by pressing the "Send" button (instead of the ENTER key) do not get saved into the input line history.
  • New MouseLookFocusSwitchQuirk and BuildFloaterMouseLookQuirk patches: fix quirks with mouse look and viewer window focus switching. The most noticeable changes are that loosing and restoring the viewer window focus no more resets mouse-look neither the camera zoom level (as set via the mouse wheel when not in mouse-look).
  • New LoadXUIfromXML patch (for v1.23): fixes a bug in the Advanced/XUI/Load from XML feature of v1.23 viewers.
  • PanelLoginFocusedGridSelectionCrash (for v1.23): fixes a crash bug when closing the viewer while on login screen with the grid selection combo selected.
