Post subject:  Latest Windows releases
The only genuine Windows builds of the Cool SL Viewer will from now on be released on this site. Boy Lane does not have my permission anymore to release renamed viewers using the same set of patches as the Cool SL Viewer. Her builds (past and future should she violate the copyright) will no more be supported on this forum.

So, here are the first three Windows releases by me:

Cool SL Viewer v1.19.0.5 release 60 (stable branch, legacy renderer)
Cool SL Viewer v1.22.11.0 release 10 (stable branch, Windlight renderer)
Cool SL Viewer v1.23.2.0 release 2 (experimental viewer)

There is a Windows installation HOWTO that will be expanded (with screen shots) over time.

One new release, thanks to Nicholaz Beresford's work: he ported two of his patch (already used in the Cool SL Viewer v1.19.0.5) to v1.22).

The Cool SL Viewer v1.22.11.0 release 11(stable branch, Windlight renderer) can be downloaded now from http://sldev.free.fr/.

Well, it looks like LL is so impatient to segregate adult contents that they shortened dramatically the release candidate process for the v1.23 viewer... It is a mistake, in my opinion, given the number of bugs still plaguing v1.23.

Anyway...

The Cool SL Viewer v1.23.4.0 release 2 (stable viewer, Windlight branch) is available now from http://sldev.free.fr/.

Cool SL Viewer v1.19.0.5 release 61 (stable branch, legacy renderer)
Cool SL Viewer v1.23.4.0 release 3 (stable branch, Windlight renderer)

The changes are:
  • RestrainedLife updated to v1.18a.
  • New ShowFriendsInMiniMap patch for v1.19 (shows your friends as yellow dots in the mini-map, like what happens in v1.22 and later viewers).

Cool SL Viewer v1.23.4.0 release 4 (stable branch, Windlight renderer)

The changes are:
  • New AllowCopyWornAttachments, TextureCacheHiccups and InvisibleAvatars patches for v1.23.
  • Updated TextureCacheHiccups patch and new LLFaceVerifyCrash, LoadingContentsContextMenuCrash patches for v1.19.

The above patches fix annoying problems and crash bugs, so it is very worth updating your viewer.

  • RestrainedLife updated to v1.19a.
  • For v1.23.4.0: RevertUIchanges updated (fixes a bug which prevented messages to appear in the blue permission dialogs when using the old style chat history).

Cool SL Viewer v1.19.0.5 release 64 (stable branch, legacy renderer)
Cool SL Viewer v1.23.4.0 release 6 (stable branch, Windlight renderer)

The changes are:

  • PrimBackup patch implemented: this code, borrowed from the Meerkat viewer, debugged and improved by me, allows to export and import objects (full perm objects only, and only the primitives and textures), allowing you to backup and restore them and/or to transfer them between grids. To export, right click on the object, select "More>" and "More>" again in the pie menu, then "Export". To Import, use the corresponding option in the File menu: Import (to restore on the same grid), or Import and Upload textures (to upload on another grid).
  • RestrainedLife updated to v1.19b. @rediremote wrongly redirected OOC (Out Of Character) chat (text starting and ending with double parenthesis, such as ((AFK, BRB)) or ((Safeword ! Please, don't do that to my avatar !))...). v1.19b prevents any redirection to happen with OOCs, even when both @redirchat and @rediremote active. This change will also be reflected into Marine's next patch version.
  • For v1.23.4.0: TeleportHistory updated (fixes a bug which made the Teleport button inactive in the Teleport History floater).
  • For v1.23.4.0: NoVoiceWarningSpam patch added: prevents the viewer from generating enormous log files on grids without voice support (OpenSim grids).
