I started using Cool VL 1.25 a few weeks ago cause it was fast and got better FPS then any other viewer i tried . and did well in places that were laggy .. But lately them Laggy places are now causing me to get logged out .. And SL says something about checking internet connection .... and then i get a win-crash-logger.exe-entry point not found error ......it says

..................... The procedure entry point ?hex-digest@LLMD5@@QAEXPAD@Z could not be located in the dynamic link library llcommon.dll. ....................................

Ive downloaded and tried the 1.26 Experiemental version and i think that might be when the problem started but not sure . Does anyone have any ideas ? Please let me know .

This is obviously a bad installation. The proper llcommon.dll was not installed. Reinstall, following to the letter the procedure described in the Windows Installation Howto.

I found some malware and spyware and fixed that but still no luck with Cool VL 1.26 in laggy places .... I still get that error ... now i get a computer performance error and this error says something aboult adjusting my color scheme ... Ive been having a few plugin fails aswell ... But second life Viewer 2 still works fine for me in these laggy places ... So what do you think ? Cool VL seemed to be better for me at one time .. I even got a friend using it now ... I like the options in Cool VL . Thank you for your time .

Apparently, you are the only person with such an issue.

If you got the same error (which relates to a missing function (LLMD5::hex_digest, and for the version shipped with v1.26.0.12, it should be "hex_digest@LLMD5@@QBEXPAD@Z") in llcommon.dll, something that normally cannot happen since the viewer won't start at all in such a case: this function is used in the login panel of the viewer, so you won't even be able to login), then it is obviously an issue with your computer.

Check for a spurious llcommon.dll copy, somewhere else than in the Cool VL Viewer installation directory but in a publicly accessible system folder (was there one such copy installed by another viewer in WINDOWS or WNDOWS\SYSTEM32 directories, for example ?... Or did another viewer add the path to its own directory (itself holding a llcommon.dll library) to the system PATH variable ?).

Or perhaps the viewer is trying to launch a plugin installed by another viewer and compiled for another llcommon.dll library... Check for plugins installed in system folders/PATH.

Another problem could be a still undetected virus on your system... which would explain the performance issues you got and the unrelated color scheme messages...

In any case, I cannot do more than trying to guess, given you don't even provide a log file (see the rules for this forum, please).
