Some reason when im building and working on a project I crash a lot .. also the crash logger fails to upload the data.

any way I can find or get the crash data to send?..

Also the camera constraints do not seem to effect the camera at all. when editing I cannot zoom in real close to the prim im

editing and there is a limit to how far out i can zoom as well

Yes, read the rules and follow the instructions. There are links telling you exactly what to send and where to find the files. It makes no sense to repeat them here when they are just a click or two away.

How far out you can zoom out will also be affected by your draw distance. Other than that, it's hard to say why your viewer is ignoring changes to camera constraings.

It doesn't fail: there is simply no point to send the crash data to Linden Lab (they don't maintain TPVs and don't care about their bugs) and I don't have a server to send it to.

Just read the rules for this forum...

You can: first make sure the camera constraints are disabled ("Preferences" floater, "Input & Camera" tab, "Camera Controls" sub-tab, "Disable camera zooming constraints" setting). Then just keep ALT pressed, click on the prim you want to zoom onto and move the mouse forward to zoom in.

Zooming out is limited only by the draw distance (since there's no point zooming out so far that the objects you are zooming on would stop being rendered). Simply increase your draw distance to zoom out farther.

Ouch... that looks like an awfully OLD driver. Updating to the latest driver may help. With emphasis on "may"... :)

You didn't give the right files: I need SecondLife.log and SecondLife.dmp (see the rules)... Anyway, it's too late for v1.26.4.38 now: v1.26.4.39 will be published in a few hours, and I will not be able to debug v1.26.4.38 after it is (I don't keep the symbols files for old versions). Wait for v1.26.4.39 and see if the bug still happens with it, then post the proper files, please.

Ok the latest viewer seems to have fixed the crashing altogether :) ty ty ty ... 2 days now and not a crash wooohooo!

But still has trouble with camera constraints.. For example:

1. Edit my hair-- cant zoom in past about one meter ( approximately )no matter how the camera settings are.

2. edit a prim on the ground -- same thing cannot get close past that one meter point .

trying to hold alt and adjusting the mouse wheel doesn't help. I must be missing something some place.

Enabling and disabling camera constraints doesn't seem to make a bit of difference. Its not a big issue but just hard editing small nano prims somethimes.

Any way thank you for a great viewer :) so far have gotten 6 people to use Cool VL in the last 2 days ! :D

Yes, many crash fixes went into the last two releases, so I was hoping they would fix this annoying issue.

Do not use the scroll wheel, especially for attachments; simply keep ALT pressed, click on the prim and move the mouse forward. There is no limit to the max zoom level when using the latter method.
