Not sure what to call this. I left myself logged in to the hanja infohub welcome area. Came back and coolviewer was no longer running. So here's the crash logs.

Yep, that's a bug in the new server-side baking code (so it only affects v1.26.7). Bug found and squashed: v1.26.7.9 will have it fixed. Thanks for the report ! |

I have one more set of logs. Figured I'd add them here instead of yet another new topic. Not sure if it's also related to server side baking. Teleport to Hanja. Arrived. Crashed. I was unable to post the logs as an attachment to this message. Apparently too big and I could not use 7zip for the attachment so the logs are available from my Skydrive. http://sdrv.ms/XZUdWr |

This is the same bug. No need to report it a gazillion of times (it makes me loose time checking the crash dump for nothing: and since it's a Windows crash dump, I must also each time reboot under that dreaded OS to get it checked): just wait for next release tomorrow, and in the mean time, use v1.26.6, which is the stable release and is not affected by this bug. |

And I am not sure what caused it. But the end of the Secondlife.log looks pretty weird. I had like 2 crashes within 3 minutes, but only logs to the first one: http://xp2.de/tillie/2013-02-09.zip For that one I clicked another avatar to "update" it via the menu, for the other crash I just rightclicked an avatar and crashed. But I guess my actions are not directly related to the crash. Maybe the log above helps. |

That's crazy !!!... I already fixed a bug for that crash and the code now looks just fine... The log shows that the avatar that caused the crash got invalid data blocks and somehow, one of the block containing texture data seems to cause an invalid UUID pointer to creep in... I'll have a closer look, but what baffles me is that I'm using v1.26.7 everyday in crowded areas and never encountered such a crash. I'd need a reproduction procedure, or at least some clues about when, where, how it happens and whether there are common points between, crashes... |

Found the bug ! It's in the changed server-side baking code of llprimitive.cpp: failure to check for texture entries count again, and a buffer overrun as a result when receiving bogus avatar appearance messages (but I still have no clue as to why or when those bogus messages appear)... A fix is ready and a fixed release will be published today. |

My client just hung again... I had to kill it when the log reached 20MB, it's full of an endless block of this (see below). EDIT: And another crash, but I have a log+dump this time: http://xp2.de/tillie/crash-2013-02-14.zip

Also, LL just released a new bunch of commits to sunshine-external (the viewer side baking branch of their viewer): I finished the backport already and the new code will be in next release (v1.26.7.11). Perhaps it will have this bug fixed. |
