Well, I am already thinking of buying a NVIDIA card, so maybe that will help a bit.

Good news !

FMOD Ex v4.44.46 seems to have fixed the freezing issue (see its release notes), and today's releases of the Cool VL Viewer (v1.26.8.79 and v1.26.12.21) are using this fixed version.

I am very sorry to say it, but it still keeps freezing.

I am very sorry to say it, but I can't do a thing about it (neither reproduce it here) and without the logs that you keep failing to provide despite my repeated requests in this thread, it's unlikely to change any time soon.

Well, I already did that once.

Edit: I added the log file, but the FMOD debug was not enabled, I have done now. If it freezes again I add another log.

I could not reproduce this bug myself, but the latest release notes for FMOD Ex v4.44.49 mention having a related rare crash-bug fixed. Today's releases (v1.26.4.83 and v1.26.12.25) are using FMOD Ex v4.44.49 and hopefully fix that issue for good....

I was in Second Life today and it freezed again, with version 1.26.12 (30) Feb 7 2015 and FMOD Ex 4.44.50. Sofar I can see I am the only one who is having this problem, I am planning to update my hardware to see if that can fix it for me.

Today's releases are using FMOD Ex v4.44.53 which got the following bug fixed (and might solve your issue):

Quote:
07/05/15 4.44.53 - Stable branch update (build 63989)
----------------------------------------------------

.../...
- Linux - Fixed potential hang when releasing a starving net-stream.
