I am getting a couple error messages in version CoolVLViewer1.26.12.20

This one I can repro, but it does not log anything to system.log or CoolVLViewer.log:
On pressing Command+P to open preferences it displays a blue dialog with the text "Error requesting preferences". The Preferences floater is opened as normal. (screenshot enclosed)

The other one I can't repro, but it was logged to system.log:
12.10.14 14.04.18,000 kernel[0]: process Cool VL Viewer[66391] thread 8849631 caught burning CPU!; EXC_RESOURCE supressed due to audio playback

Otherwise this version seems to run fine. This is tested on OS X 10.10 GM release candidate 3.

I found what the error was, and it originated from the opensim server that logged the following message on the Robust console (and log):

2014-10-12 14:02:49,551 INFO - OpenSim.Server.Handlers.JsonRpcProfileHandlers [PROFILES]: User preferences request error - No Email address on record!

By adding an email address to the avatar record in the Useraccounts table, the message went away.

Never seen it in the previous versions of the viewer, and that account is the primary user of it, so something has changed. Opensim code has also not changed since last viewer.

Never seen it in other viewers also.

Anyway, at least we know how to fix it if anyone else sees it when using opensim. I suppose all SL accounts have email addresses mandatory.
