Cool VL Viewer forum

At today's server beta group meeting it was announced that support for legacy bakes has been discontinued. The meeting was held on aditi in region Morris and is running the new server code.

When I log in there now I get three notifications "Failed to find body part in database." and a quick popup in the bottom right about replacing with a default part.

This problem is not happening when I sign into a region running different server code, such as Blizzard.

I did anticipate that LL would stop sending the initial outfit message on login (and there is already the necessary code in the Cool VL Viewer to deal with it), but they instead are sending a bogus message in that beta server version, with UUIDs of non-existent wearables, thus why you get the various messages and warnings. Note that your avatar still rezzes properly for others around it, but it causes the viewer to create and attempt to wear default wearables for the "missing" (actually bogus) body parts, which in turn may cause your avatar to rez improperly in your viewer.

The change to deal with this bogus server behaviour is trivial however and will be part of tomorrow's releases. In the mean time, if you need to login into one of the affected sims in Aditi, the work around is simply to change your outfit forth and back after login.
