Hey. Found another crash, this time after i muted someone. Not sure if it has anything to do with muting the person but thats when it happened :)

TP to a sim and wanted to fullmute someone.
- 2 seconds after the mute, it crashed to desktop.
- i can not replicate it, hope the logs help.

Here are the logs. Thank You

Interesting (mesh optimization related) crash in LLVolumeFace::cacheOptimize(), but this method gets called from some code that got modified for Bento specific stuff... I'll have a look, but it'd be interesting to manage and reproduce reliably the bug and see if only the Bento viewer is affected by it.

Since it's mesh related, it might be possible to find "crasher objects" for that bug.

I did try to reproduce it after the crash, but to no success. May have been an avatar that left the sim or something like that. Olso i need to add that i do have "Enhanced skeletron rigging" disabled.
I will start posting every random crash i get and you can merge the topics if the crashes are related. This is, and needs to stay the most stable viewer :D

Thank you.

Ah... That explains it... Please, don't do that... I'll remove that setting in next release: it's known to cause issues (and probably crashes): if you don't need Bento skeleton support, simply use v1.26.18 (which will prove stabler anyway: don't forget that v1.26.19 is *experimental*)...

I know it is experimental but its good to have an OFF switch (or a manual edit) for such things in the future when everyone migrates to Bento skeleton and it will be in the stable version.
Some people with old hardware (like me) like to have more FPS in detriment of other things that slow it down. I will keep it enabled in the future for crash reports and will install the stable version too if i feel the drop in FPS is too much for some situations.

Thank You.

The choice will not be ours, but LL's... This option just plain doesn't properly work any more with the latest Bento changes (it was implemented in an early version). Besides, if LL decides that Bento must go live on SL, you'll have no other choice than using a Bento enabled viewer, or see horribly distorted avatars...

In the mean time, if the frame rate is your worry, simply do not use the experimental Bento viewer: use v1.26.18 instead.

This not the same crash as the ones you got earlier. This time, it's a mesh optimization crash, and it corresponds to what TheADX saw, thus why I'm merging the two topics here.

It seems like a specific mesh is crashing the viewer, but it's hard telling why without experiencing it myself: I'd need you guys to tell me where exactly you saw that crash happening, so that I come and see if I can make my own viewer instance crash while under gdb management...

For me it was here: http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/H ... /119/75/29
Just after teleport and after muting someone. It will probably be hard to replicate because chances are the mesh is on some avatar.
