Installed the latest viewer, ran into a strange problem - when I try to use the All (web) search, it opens up the results of my search allright but when I click on Teleport, I get the message seen on the picture. Other search tabs seem to work fine. Ideas?

Teleport SLURLs (in Search or elsewhere) work just fine for me, so I'd need to know the exact search result that returned this error. There is no trace either of an error in the SLURL scheme in the log you attached (are you sure you did trigger the error in the session corresponding to this log ?)...

It's irrelevant to what I search for, whatever I set as a search parameter, returns the search results and whatever result I click to "Teleport" - or "More Info" or "Map" gives the error. Checked the preferences, java&plugins are enabled - what else should I check?

And yes I did a search, clicked on Teleport, then logged out, then took a copy of the log. And yes, seems like a weird problem.

I cannot reproduce the issue here... Check that your firewall is not blocking any viewer component (SLPlugin.exe, dullahan_host.exe, etc)...

Already checked firewall, antivirus etc. etc. and as far that I can see nothing is blocked.

I never had this problem in the past, I'm a long time Cool VL Viewer user and this just happen after the last updade from v1.26.22 to v1.26.22.2

I guess I will have to wait for the next update for the issue to be solved..

Thank you for your anwser
Regards
Limbofix

Seconding limbofix, only thiing that changed was that I updated my viewer from an older version, I have been on Cool VL for years alrleady. None ofthe SL components seem to be blocked by my firewall or virus software - if they were I assume there would be further problems than just the search window.

I'll try the usual Windows-fix, reäinstalling, see how that goes (not). And Limbofix, if Henri can't reproduce our problem, he has no means to fix it, either so waiting for the next update automatically won't solve the issue - we need to at least try and help him.

Yes of course Minea, I'm rapporting a issue like you did, explaining what I did about it, checking firewall, antivirus. reinstalled VL Viewer (clean install, I even deleted windows register entry of the viewer before new installation, plus have removed remanents viewer files from program files folder etc), I'm not just waiting for the "next update", but I'm also trying to see what is wrong with maybe the installation of the Viewer or if other third components/programs/ etc are on the viewer way.

The problem is that there has been no change whatsoever in the viewer code between v1.26.22.0 and v1.26.22.2 regarding networking or the built-in CEF browser, or the plugins, or the search function.

If it worked for you with v1.26.22.0 then it shall work equally well with v1.26.22.2. If it does not, then it's a change to your system or network that is causing this issue.

Try disabling your antivirus and see what happens...

Then I ran VL Viewer v. 1.26.22.2 and got the same error on the "Search" window.

I did try to disable and enable my antivirus with the latest version of the Viewer with no success.

Is there maybe some new options on the new Viewer under network that in some ways I have missed to check?

Can't figure it out.

Thank you for your help and patience!

I love Cool VL Viewer and I'm very thankfull for the great work that you do.

Regards
Limbofix
