Sudden SL crash (no error messages given), consistently, when clicking on an object that uses llDialog script/ when expecting a Dialog menu from script. Is NOT a script error, as it happens with multiple objects written by different people, and *does not happen* with same objects when using other versions of SL. (cannot believe how bad official LL viewer is! textures take 10x longer to load than with Cool Viewer!)
Crash version: CoolSLViewer 1.23.5.5
Dell Dimension 4600 Intel P4 2.4 GHz NVidia GeForce FX 5200 (up to date drivers) 1.25 GB ram
------------------------------------------------------------------------ Edit: Correction: Apparently almost any 'on touch' scripted object crashes Cool Viewer. Removing all versions of SL and clean installing, rechecking all drivers........ ------------------------------------------------------------------------
Edit: ooooooooookay, nevermind. Problem solved. I'd apparently installed too many versions of secondlife.
Removed Kristen's shadow viewer, SL 'Legacy' Cool Viewer, Old SL Release Candidate, Newest Cool Viewer, and official LL Viewer.
Then went into 'reg edit' and removed all references to SecondLife. Don't know that this was necessary, but there was a lot of old trash.
Reinstalled official viewer. Modified with latest Cool Viewer. No more crashes.
Conclusion? ... ?

Simply a bad installation. My guess is missing/non-modified XML files in the skins directory.
