With water reflections turned off this happens:

The strange thing is if I turn on water reflections then turn them off again this happens:

https://www.flickr.com/photos/192945294 ... 852305766/

The reflections are still on but they are like ghosted and follows the cam when moved.
This does not happen on Firestorm so there has to be something going on with the new viewer.

I cannot browse gyazo.com (they use non-standard Javascript). Please post pictures elsewhere... For example: https://freeimage.host/

Water is looking almost black the reflections are not working properly and if water reflections setting is turned on and then off it's not really turned off the reflections stay but there is this after effect notice how the reflections move with the camera in the video.

Ah, the flickr one was a video (with my scripts filter, I only saw a still image, at first). You know, describing a reproduction procedure with words is often faster and easier... ;)

Well, yes, I could repro this now; it is a bug introduced in v1.28.2.57 (the previous versions work fine in this respect). I already spotted it and fixed it for next week's release. If you compile the viewer yourself, simply change line 9562 of linden/indra/newview/llpipeline.cpp to read:
Code:
if (!sWaterReflections || !LLDrawPoolWater::sNeedsReflectionUpdate)
I.e. replace "RenderWaterReflections" with "sWaterReflections" in that line...

In the mean time, simply keep water reflections on with "Terrain and trees" in the combo box (i.e. the lower setting): the difference in the FPS rate with no reflection at all is almost negligible anyway.
