hi,

I found a bug with transparent outfits in the latest cool vl viewer.

here are pictures:

1. a transparent catsuit, on pants & shirt layer, in original SL 1.23.5:

2. the same catsuit on pants&shirt layer in Cool VL Viewer 1.23.0 R14:

3. the same suit on underwear layers in Cool VL Viewer 1.23.0 R14:

looks to me as if the alpha layer backport introduces a color error. the underwear layer is completely discolored, the shirt layer is, and the pants layer is partially discolored. (Picture 1 is how it should look).

I'm having a similar problem with the Cool VL Viewer. Seems the Alpha Channel just always appears white. So everything I wear has ugly white edges now. Sometimes it's not so easy to spot. With other outfits it's really obvious. Especially my favorite and beloved leathers show best the alpha channel error I experience as there should be a slight black shadow underneath the laces which now because of the error appear white. Also, if you take a closer look, you can see the white edges that aren't actually there.

As I do love the Cool VL Viewer and can't really get me to like any other viewer I'm looking forward to this bugfix. Yes, I am a vain person and therefor this error bugs me. *sniff

another, possibly related bug:

put on a jacket that has only transparency on the lower texture, and the lower part will be "texture not loading"-grey until you edit the jacket.

I think I found the bug, but I need a confirmation before making a new release. Please, check your private message on this board for a link to a test binary.

I confirm this error in 1.19.2.83 too. Semi-transparent T-shirt became not-so-transparent (and I put a great effort into make it realistically "wet"!). ;)
It was OK in 82 release.

This will be fixed in the next releases (both for v1.19.2 and v1.23.5), to be published tomorrow.
