Edit appearance and object rendering

I'm experiencing an issue in object rendering after editing appearance, which I don't do often. Even if no changes are made (OK or cancel), from that point, objects in-world will fail to render. This happens after a TP away and back, or even just walking/flying into an area that was not previously rendered. I am uncertain if it is related, but I also updated to the Nvidia 'beta' driver yesterday. I will check some of my previous build versions as I still have them to see if I can isolate if/when something might have changed.
Code:

It was a quick test, but 1.32.0.6 does not seem to exhibit the same behavior when editing appearance.

I would need precise repro steps, because I cannot see this happening on my side, using the same driver version as yours, under Linux too, and at the same place as indicated in your "About" text, and in all forward, ALM and PBR rendering modes...

This could be an occlusion issue, but I just can't reproduce it.

Did you try ALT SHIFT R too (should not be needed but might make vanished objects reappear) ?... And what happens if you disable Preferences -> Graphics -> GPU/GL features -> Object-object occlusion ?

I tried using refresh object visibility but it doesn't seem to have an effect. The steps I take are fairly minimal. I start up the viewer and wait for 'speedrez' to get things up to my 128m max. I then edit appearance. It doesn't seem to matter if I make a change or not, select OK or Cancel. If I TP to a new region, many, but not all, objects do not render. If I TP back to the first location, objects that were visible are no longer visible. Everything is 'there', so to speak, because I bump into them but they aren't shown. I can upload my settings (omitting the hashed password block), if that would help.

And disabling Object-object occlusion ?

I tried with 256m and 512m DD...

I definitely cannot reproduce this (tried several times in several sims, after and before TPs)...

Upload them as an attachment in a password-protected zip file, and send me the password in PM; I will remove the zip file after I download it...

Deselecting object-object causes items to render, immediately. The previously invisible objects remain visible upon selecting the option again. Settings file attached, with object-object enabled.

Got the zip file, will test it...

And yes, occlusion issue, as I inferred, but not sure why it happens for you and not for me... Is your avatar wearing some large attachment, or an animesh, perhaps ?

Password sent. I'm not wearing an animesh, but I am wearing a mesh body and head. My RC isn't that high, only around 40K. I can drop to a full system AV and try that out. Dropping all mesh attachments (down to 11K RC), the issue still occurs for me.

Sadly, even using your settings, I cannot reproduce the issue at all here...

Maybe this is a bug in the driver that only happens with your GPU (1080) and not mine (3070)... Try and roll back the NVIDIA driver to the previous version, and see what happens then...

I'll give that a try later today. It was only my list of things to try as well.
