CoolVLViewer-1.19.2.87 crashes on Edit Appearance

I use the legacy renderer in my 4 year old laptop and SL runs smoothly with a crash every now and then. However, SL freezes and my whole system crashes everytime I click «Edit Appearance».
It’s a bit annoying not being able to edit my appearance or create a new clothing piece.

I cannot reproduce the bug here and would need the SecondLife.log and stack_trace.log files to try and make a proper guess.
However, if it crashes your whole system, it can hardly be a viewer bug (viewer bugs crash the viewer, not the OS). My guess is therefore that editing your appearance somehow triggers a bug in your OS, and most probably in the graphic driver. I see you have got an Intel graphic card, which is not supported by Linden Lab, and OpenGL v1.4 which is way too old a version (should be at least OpenGL v2.0)... Try updating your graphic card driver...
