I experience strange bug since applying 6 and 7 patch to Snowglobe viewer. Simply: whenever i receive any item from object, the viewer crashes. Receiving items from other avatars is ok. The item is located in the inventory next time I log in after the crash. It seems to be similar to the one reported by Daemonika Nightfire. The gzipped logs are attached. Can anyone help me please? Thanks.

I cannot reproduce this problem here, and the logs do not really help: it's apparently an issue in LLOfferInfo::inventory_offer_callback(), but I see nothing wrong in this function. There has been a change (and apparently, the change is just fine) in this function for the Cool VL Viewer v1.25.0.7, but since you say it also happens with v1.25.0.6... I need yet more info: - Does it happen with any giver-object (also with your giver-objects, others', group-deeded ones) ?...
- Do you have RestrainedLove enabled or not ?...
- Any chance for me to visit the place where you get the crash and use that(those) giver object(s) myself ?

Questions: - Does it happen with the official v1.23.5 and/or Snowglobe v1.4 viewer as well ?
- Has this avatar already been used with viewer 2 (your inventory gets changed when using it, and this seems to be an inventory issue) ?
- Is RestrainedLove enabled or not ?

Hello Henri, thanks for the quick reply. To your questions: I need yet more info: - Does it happen with any giver-object (also with your giver-objects, others', group-deeded ones) ?...
It didn't happen with the object I myself created and embeded with some working giver script.
- Do you have RestrainedLove enabled or not ?...
It was enabled.
- Any chance for me to visit the place where you get the crash and use that(those) giver object(s) myself
Of course -- it's an orange or what color advertising board (saying "Click here for advertising info") next to sim entrance here:
SWEETHEARTS JAZZ- ROMANTIC BALLR, Sweethearts (80, 171, 23)
The most strange thing is that when I tried to obtain the notecard now, my viewer didn't crash (I'm on another network now and after successful obtaining of the item from point one but that shouldn't matter, no?).
?

I went there and got the notecard: no crash. If you are on a different computer, then it could well matter... It could be an inventory cache issue, for example. For you and Lance, I compiled a test version of the viewer, with plenty of debug messages embedded in the LLOfferInfo::inventory_offer_callback() function, which should allow me to spot where exactly it crashes. Please, download the tarball here, unpack it and put the snowglobe-do-not-run-directly file in place of the one of your installation of Cool VL Viewer v1.25.0.7 in the bin/ directory (first rename the original snowglobe-do-not-run-directly file into snowglobe-do-not-run-directly.orig or something, so that you can restore it later). Then, run the viewer and make it crash and send me the logs.

I think the most probable culprit is RestrainedLove as I went to the same place and received the notecard without any problems with RL switched off. Then I logged in again with RL switched on and the crash appeared immediately after I agreed to keep the notecard. The logs, generated by the debuging version of the viewer you sent, are attached. Good hunting

Thanks to the new logs I found the bug... It happens when RestrainedLove is enabled *and* you do not have a #RLV folder at the root of your inventory.
To work around this bug till the next Cool VL Viewer releases, simply create a #RLV folder at the root of your inventory.

Right. Creating the folder #RLV solved the bug for me. Thanks for the quick and helpfull reaction, Henri.
