If OmitResidentAsLastName is set to hide "Resident" in legacy names and someone initiates an instant message chat session with me, the first line of text still contains the "Resident" part in its name.

  • It only happens once per login and chat partner.
  • It only happens if the chat session is initiated by the chat partner.
  • Only the first line of text is affected.
  • There must be one more condition as it didn't happen for all my conversations so far. I haven't further investigated if it is somehow connected to if the chat partner is, for example, on the same Sim, on the friends list, using display name, ...(for my test it was a friend on another Sim not using display name)

This IM example shows how the OmitResident feature failure is triggered just once after my relog (line 3) and works fine for the rest of the conversation:

This should be fixed in today's release (v1.25.0.28).

Note however that, for display names, it is normal that a delay is experienced before the display name for an avatar is resolved, so their first IM(s) may show only their legacy name.
