I have two issues on the following system:
*********************************************
Cool VL Viewer 1.26.1 (0) Aug 27 2011 10:28:42 (Snowglobe Release)
Release Notes

Built with MSVC version 1400

CPU: Intel(R) Celeron(R) CPU 550 @ 2.00GHz (1995 MHz)
Memory: 2038 MB
OS Version: Microsoft Windows Vista 32-bit Service Pack 2 (Build 6002)
Graphics Card Vendor: Intel
Graphics Card: Intel 965/963 Graphics Media Accelerator
Windows Graphics Driver Version: 7.15.0010.1666
OpenGL Version: 2.0.0 - Build 7.15.10.1666

libcurl Version: libcurl/7.20.1 OpenSSL/0.9.8j zlib/1.2.3
J2C Decoder Version: KDU
Audio Driver Version: FMOD version 3.750000
Qt Webkit Version: 4.7.1
****************************************************************

1) For one, part of the sky (in 500m height) is like overlayed with a black shadow (see attached screenshot #1 and #2)
2) Second, which is more of an issue, is the fact that the avatar (normal/legacy shape with normal dress - so no mesh or sculpties involved in any way) 'explodes' after a minute into some kind of 'mesh vomit', which stabilizes again after a minute or two, back to the avatar, just to explode again a minute or so later (see attached screenshot #2)

I hope this bug report helps for the development of the Cool Viewer, - I would so love to have a v1.x viewer that can see mesh.
Regards, Pandorah

Please, see this post for the solution to the avatar issue... as for the sky "issue", I see none...

Thank you, Henri.

Setting the 'VectorizeSkin' variable to FALSE (in Advanced -> Debug settings) fixed the 'exploding avatar' issue.
