I can definitely second / third this. It has nothing to do with texture downloading, it also happens with fully loaded textures. It seems to happen (not always, unfortunately

) when an object is first rendered, i.e. when it first comes into view, even if an object using the very same texture is already in view, possibly even closer. For example, I have a few bougainvilleas sprinkled across my island, and while one closer will be perfectly rendered, another off in the distance coming into view while panning / turning will show the very symptom described (and shown) here.
And indeed, it is worked around easily enough by zooming out and back in again. So far I have only observed this with hair and plants. Latest 1.26.0 here as well, but under Linux. Never bothered to mention it before since I expected a bit of 'dust' to come up on the way to mesh ...
