I reviewed the other thread here but there is no pertinent help there. I run CV on a fairly decent system (info below) which rarely has issues with viewers. CV is working just as it shoulf but there is a serious glitch with the audio system. The Issue: - On 1st startup of CV and first login to any simulator (OpenSim or SecondLife) I get no audio capability at all. No UI & no Ambient sounds either. - On second login UI & Ambient work as expected but voice may or may not be available (of course this is on Voice Enabled OpenSim (Vivox) or Secondlife, makes no difference) - Upon further hunting through the issue, I believe I found a possible cause or symptom of the cause at least. For each time that CV is started SLVoice is initialized and remains even after CV is shutdown. I discovered this, this morning when I opened up my Audio Mixer and saw 6 copies of SLVoice attached within it. It appears that when CV shuts down, it is not closing SLVoice leaving it hooked to the audio card. -- EDIT: SLVoice does sometimes close with Cool Viewer but is inconsistent. -- System Info -- Cool VL Viewer 1.26.2 (12) Jan 6 2012 11:46:03 (Cool VL Viewer) CPU: AMD Athlon(tm) II X4 620 Processor (2611.68 MHz) Memory: 12287 MB OS Version: Microsoft Windows 7 64-bit Service Pack 1 (Build 7601) Graphics Card Vendor: NVIDIA Corporation Graphics Card: GeForce 9800 GT/PCI/SSE2 Windows Graphics Driver Version: 8.17.0012.8562 OpenGL Version: 3.3.0 libcurl Version: libcurl/7.20.1 OpenSSL/0.9.8j zlib/1.2.3 J2C Decoder Version: KDU Audio Driver Version: FMOD version 3.750000 Qt Webkit Version: 4.7.1 (version number hard-coded) All driver's and supporting software are 100% up to date and direct from the appropriate manufacturer's where applicable. --------- Thanks in Advance for taking the time to review this. Please post the Secondlife.log, as requested in the rules for this forum ! I cannot investigate without the requested info being provided... |
