Hi Henri et. al.,
this may be academic considering the days of us using KDU may draw to a close as is (recent LL viewers seem to be linked statically against it), but libllkdu.so can no longer be utilised "out of the box" with recent linux distributions, since it relies on libdb-4.2.so, which is no longer available either in the viewer's lib directory or the system library paths. So the viewer does fall back to using OpenJPEG on these systems, which, while all in all working reasonably well, does have its drawbacks. An appropriate symlink in the viewer's lib directory does fix the issue (although I am not sure if that this is the 100% legit way of doing so). I'm sure others know more about all of these funky bits than I do.
Love, Lia

Oh, my... You are right... I overlooked that because lbdb v4.2 exists on my systems and the viewer therefore uses it with KDU... and yes, the simple fix is to either create a symbolic link named "libdb-4.2.so" to libdb-5.1.so in the viewer lib/ directory, or for me to distribute libdb v4.2 together with v5.1. I'll try the symbolic link trick and will see how it fares: if there's no crash with it, I'd rather use this trick rather than distributing two libdb libraries.

The link trick seems to work just fine, so I posted two repackaged Linux releases for v1.26.2.24 and v1.26.4.7.
