I can second an alpha bug, not sure if it is the same as I cant see the photos from the original post anymore.

You can see the bug on alpha body clothing pretty well:

Image

See the LL DEV client on the left, top and stockings... skin is shining through colorwise. On Cool VL Viewer (right side) it's just shades of grey, no skin color visible.

My CV settings are attached.

Client version is v1.26.4.

OS Version: Microsoft Windows 7 64-bit Service Pack 1 (Build 7601)
Graphics Card Vendor: NVIDIA Corporation
Graphics Card: GeForce GTX 460/PCI/SSE2
Windows Graphics Driver Version: 8.17.0012.8562
OpenGL Version: 4.2.0

See the reply I made above to Whitestar...

The Cool VL Viewer currently uses the v2.6 renderer (and shaders collection), you can't therefore compare it with any of LL's current (v3.2) or old v1 viewers... v2.6 got its glitches and strengths (and one of it's most prized strengths is to work with most video cards and drivers, unlike LL's current v3 renderer...), like each and every renderer.

The Cool VL Viewer will get the v3.2 renderer (or 3.3, 3.4, or whatever will be available when I'll start working on it) backported in the v1.26.5 branch (see the roadmap). Till then, I'll not loose my time trying to fix such minor and driver-dependent glitches that I cannot even reproduce on my system.

Too bad. ^^

It's not a minor thing for fashion photography, though. Have to use Cool VL Viewer 1.26.2 (19) Feb 25 2012 12:55:49 (CoolViewer Mesh) then, till you fix it, cause that version doesnt have the glitch yet.

And I don't want to mess up all the stockings and partial alpha clothing in the shows. ^^

Ahhh !... That's a way more relevant info: you were comparing v3 viewers with the Cool VL Viewer, but now you are telling me that the non-multi-layer version is working fine and not the multi-layer one... and indeed, I just found the bug !... It prevents proper texture baking (and by the way, if you press CTRL ALT R in v1.26.4.0, the problem will vanish on your screen, but the baked texture will alas not be uploaded for others around you to see it fixed). It will be fixed in v1.26.4.1 (might well post it tomorrow, time permitting).

Note however, that it got nothing to do with WhiteStar's bug report... :P [EDIT] I split the topic and made a separate one out of your issue to reflect this fact.

Woohoo, you got it! Yay! :)

As I said, I wasn't sure if the two things are related. =)

Thanks for fixing!
