I'm having a couple issues on OSGrid with the latest releases. When using Cool VL Viewer 1.26.4(24), I'm seeing trees on land that has no trees. They flicker on and off, and if I pan around the cam, they disappear, only to return when I go back to the default view. If I turn on Animate trees in the advanced menu, they disappear.

In 1.26.5, when I tp into, or cross into a new region, land is very spotty. I find myself standing on water. If I pan out then back in the land rezzes. A few times after I've tp'd to a region I'll be on land. As soon as I move, large square patches of land disappear.

I'm using Windows 7 64bit, GTX570 card with 304.79beta driver. I was using an older driver with the same results in 1.26.5 and the land issue. I have never seen the tree issue before so that might be a driver problem.

I rolled back the video driver to 266.58. That made no difference on the trees, they were still there. I then rolled Cool VL Viewer back to 1.26.4.23 and the trees were still there. I never did install 1.26.4.23 before this. I have now rolled Cool VL Viewer back to 1.26.4.22 and the trees are gone.

I've noticed in 1.26.5.2 when I first teleport the terrain mesh from my previous region follows me.
I think its because I have the teleport blanking screen off.
I also saw some trees from neighboring regions flickering in and out when I first tried 1.26.5.2.
I had many other problems and they were all resolved by resetting my settings_cool_vl_viewer.xml to default for 1.26.5.2 and trying again.
Then I was able to compare the default to my 1.26.4.x settings xml and find several settings that should not have been carried forward.
Backup your settings XML, and reset to default for a login and see if that cures your issue.

I think I found the issue for the trees, although I could not see it happening myself: knowing it appeared in v1.26.4.23 and was ok in v1.26.4.22 was decisive, despite the lack of logs... It seems to be related with a "fix" that LL implemented in v3.4 and that I backported to v1.26.4.23 and v1.26.5.1. I'll revert this "fix" for next releases.

Thanks Henri. I'll wait for the next release.

Where do I find settings_cool_vl_viewer.xml Allen?

Linux: its usually in your $HOME/.secondlife/user_settings directory.

Windows: no idea

These two bugs have been fixed in today's releases.

The land surface patches issue in v1.26.5 was due to an incomplete backport of the v3.3 renderer changes.

The trees issue (that I could not reproduce, but that I could infer from the changes that were made to the relevant code) in v1.26.4.24 and v1.26.5 was due to a (buggy) "fix" that was introduced in the v3.3 viewer and that was backported to the Cool VL Viewer (I simply reverted this "fix").
