Greetings! Here is a report of a bug that I am experiencing in Cool VL Viewer. This bug has been around v1.26.4, and still exists in v1.26.5.
Problem:
Quad avatars (avatars that appear to stand on 4 feet instead of 2 feet only) would sink into the ground whenever the Preferences window of Cool VL Viewer is closed. The sinking of the avatar can only be seen by the user of the avatar, whereas other people would see the avatar as normal. This bug seems to occur to all quad avatars; biped avatars do not appear to be affected by this bug.
Current Version:
v1.26.5.1 (this bug was also seen in v1.26.4.22)
Computer/viewer info:
Steps to reproduce the error:
1. Log into Second Life via Cool VL Viewer.
2. Wait for the quad avatar to fully load.
3. Open the Preferences window.
4. Close the Preferences window.
Result:
The quad avatar would sink into the ground immediately after the Preferences window is closed. Also, the FOV of the camera would change from the default 60.0 degrees to 59.4 degrees whenever the Preferences window is closed.
Screenshots of the result:

http://i.minus.com/ibo8ySHh6YBDv9.pngSteps to avoid the error:
1. Log into Second Life via Cool VL Viewer.
2. Wait for the quad avatar to fully load.
3. Open the Preferences window.
4. Remove the AO of the quad avatar (by removing the "chest" or the "spine" of the avatar, which is where the AO is usually stored).
5. Close the Preferences window.
6. Re-attach the AO ("chest" or "spine") of the quad avatar.
Result:
From now on, opening and closing the Preferences window would not cause the quad avatar to sink. However, the bug would reappear once the user restarts the viewer.
Steps to remove the sinking of the quad avatar:
1. Remove the quad avatar's AO attachment.
2. Wear a non-quad Shape.
3. Sit on an Undeformer.
4. Re-wear the quad avatar's Shape.
5. Re-attach the quad avatar's AO attachment.
Result:
The quad avatar would no longer appear to be sinking.
Notes:
- Pressing the "OK", "Cancel", or the "X" button on the Preferences window would produce the same result.
- The quad avatar that was used to demonstrate the bug in this report is a non-mesh avatar.
- This bug does not seem to appear in other TPVs, such as the Singularity Viewer.
Please let me know if you need any more info on this bug. Thank you!
