Major bug with the distribution of the V3 render.

This bug more than likely has been around since 1.26.4.23 release (although it has taken me this long to find it).

In Cool VL 1.26.4.26 on Windows XP, the Quicktime plugin (media_plugin_quicktime.dll) fails when attempting to play a video inworld.

There IS a workaround, however...

If you download the current version of the official viewer and install it, you can then go to the llPlugin directory (located at C:\Program Files\SecondLifeViewer\llplugin) and copy the newer version of media_plugin_quicktime.dll to the Cool VL llPlugin directory (located at C:\Program Files\CoolVLViewer-1.26.4\llplugin), videos will then successfully play in Cool VL :D

Attached is my Second Life Log file

Darn ! You are right... The problem stems from the use of LL's pre-built Quicktime glue library that actually seems to be a stub (it results in a 8Kb media_plugin_quicktime.dll glue library instead of a 58Kb one). I recompiled the viewers today against the official QuickTime SDK v7.3 and they work again fine. Grab them (v1.26.4.27 and v1.26.5.6) from the download page.

This is not the log file (SecondLife.log) : this is an old release's crash dump file (SecondLife.dmp)... Not that crash dump files are uninteresting, much to the contrary, but this one is not in relation with this issue, neither with this viewer release...
