Well, I've got my usual crash when the viewer tries to load shaders on an Intel card. I don't expect you can do much about it, because Intel isn't supported on Linux, which (is I suppose) why no viewer3 works on my system, but for sake of completeness I am filing the report.
I indeed can do nothing about it... It's a crash internal to your graphics driver, and like you pointed out, Intel cards are unsupported (including by LL themselves).

/later edit: the textures do a strange thing... they randomly become blurry like they try to load again every few seconds, so i opened the live debug log on my screen and it happens when the LLMemory info apears.

Example:

2012-07-30T18:31:51Z INFO: LLMemory::logMemoryInfo: --- Private memory pool information --

Try disabling private memory pools (Advanced -> Memory Management -> Private Pools) and restart the viewer to take effect. Let me know if it fixes your issue or not.

Yes that fixed the texture problem but i have no idea about that crash and what made it crash, i`l keep testing it. This is a clean log with the textures working but i still get random wornings and other stuff like attachment point invalid and index buffer overflow, are they normal and do thei influence performance in any way?

Yes, they are normal (just objects partly rezzed because of lag), and no, they don't hurt performances.

Understood, hence the discussion in the other thread.

What about this, though? It happened with 5.0 too.

EDIT: Ah, by the way, at least on my system, the viewer takes a few moments to start. That is, the main window opens instantanously, but it takes some minutes to draw. It's not important, just a little annoying and I thought I'd report it.

Hi.

Is this version intended to support Region Windlight?

I can use Firestorm and the default Linden viewer to set Region Windlight on osgrid and it persists. But with this version of Cool VL Viewer, the environment settings aren't set (even though Phoenix, Firestorm and the default viewer all change to whatever I have the region windlight set to).

Singularity also doesn't change to what I have the region windlight set to, either.

So far I am very happy with the new viewer, after a video driver update from Nvidia 296.10 to 304.79 Beta (thanks Nicolette!).
Deferred rendering became noticeably faster, while I don't see much change in non-deferred FPS on my rather "lower middle class" PC.

Thank you for a great viewer, Henri!

Works fine for me, so far.

Around 20fps with 2560x1600 resolution and shadows enabled (with RenderShadowResolutionScale at 2. I get around 36fps with it at the default value of 1).

I like this additional shading coming with the new renderer, even if it could be a bit smoother. :) Maybe there is a new debug setting to change this, like you can set the shadow resolution?

[EDIT] Ah, RenderShadowBlurSize improves it, but then the general shadows get blurred, too. :-/

Enabling the Screen Space Ambiant Occlusion might slightly improve shadows at FPS rate cost...
