Bug or server problem: Sometimes unable to take off clothing

Hi all,

trying to use 'Take off' to remove some clothing or tattoo layer sometimes fails persistently, e.g. I select 'Take off' for some clothing layer or tattoo layer and the clothing stays marked as 'worn' in the inventory and is still rendered/visible. If that happens, it stays this way, and does not work, not even an hour later. But a relog instantly fixes it and the clothing can be taken off again.

This is with various versions of the current stable viewer *.12.42 for example, but also earlier ones. I cannot remember seeing it more than a few weeks ago, so it might be some new problem/issue.

If this sounds like a viewer bug, I'll try to capture a good logfile for the issue, but if its obviously a server side issue, its probably not worth the time. So if anyone can comment about it, would like to hear about similar experiences or a hint what might happen (or how to fix it without relog).

Kathrine

I've seen it happening once, and yes, it's a server-side issue (the viewer does request the un-wearing, but the server never acknowledges it) that apparently appeared in recent server versions. This can be worked around by simply "wea"ring (not "add"ing) another wearable of the same type (which will cause to kick the stuck-worn wearable).

I have seen this a lot too, about every day ...

Like you wear 3 tattoo layers and can't unwear any of them, the only workaround for me is to wear (not add) a different tattoo, then all others get unworn.

If you roam the same buggy server(s) every day, it makes sense... I'm not seeing any such issue in Second Life RC Magnum 15.05.07.301703, here (my home sim's server version), but encountered the issue once (in a sim I didn't check the server version for).
