Heyo,

Been playing around with this debug setting in the new release, figure i'd give my feedback as to how it's working for me (as I've got an up-to-date AMD GPU)

First of all, it doesn't seem to have any negative effects (no FPS drop, etc).

It doesn't produce any immediately noticeable change, HOWEVER (in my observation, could just be placebo) - Objects which have material maps have improved colour depth and sharpness. Shadow edges *may* be slightly softer as compared to before.

It's not a huge change, although I think I can notice one.

Attached my log, in case there's anything of interest in there.

Sadly, it does not seem to be the case for everyone. See this message...

Yes, this is the expected effect (rendering with 16 bits colour depth instead of 12 bits).

Thank you for your report ! :D

If it helps, my GPU driver version is the latest available - 21.1.1 - Might be worth asking that person to check if their driver is up to date?

Seeing how they "cannot" even provide a copy/paste of the About floater main tab, it sadly sounds like a totally lost cause...
