Redundant Inventory Cache Loading?

I have an inventory size of almost 50,000 items. This does cause a notable amount of lag with certain operations. Specifically:
* Loading the texture selection window * Opening a second inventory window, via File->New Window
In both cases, the viewer completely freezes for a few seconds. My guess on this is that rather than reusing the already loaded inventory cache, it is freshly reloading it from the hard drive. For me, my inventory cache is 3 megabytes, but when uncompressed it becomes a 30 megabyte plain text file.
Is this something you can verify, Henri? And if so, would you be able to fix it or come up with a workaround (like concurrent loading)?

My inventory contains "only" 10000 items or so, so I cannot verify, but once the inventory is fully cached, opening a new inventory window doesn't take more than half a second...
You should however make sure your full inventory gets cached (which takes quite some time the first time it loads). The Cool SL Viewer provides you with a "fetch the inventory in the background on login" option. Keeping this option checked makes sure your cached inventory will always stay in sync with the asset servers, thus speeding up all inventory operations.
