Hi,

Could somebody please give me detailed instructions on how to compile (from source) the CoolVLViewer on a macbook Pro? I would have replied to previous message, but was prevented from doing so. I have downloaded src, art, libraries.

I tried to execute ./cmake-SL2.sh:

Error: You need slviewer-src !

Yet, a file listing from "." gives: (note the presence of linden/)

cmake-SL2.sh*
fmodapi375linux/
linden/

== Can somebody please help? Thanks.

My objective: introduce stereographic capability (for some reason nobody thinks it is important.)

You need to put the source packages files in the directory you point cmake-SL to, not the linden/ directory itself !... Simply download all the source packages (sources, library, artwork, fmod) from the website, put them into a single directory and fire the cmake-SL script passing it the path to that directory.

Thanks Henri. But if you look carefully, my cmake-SL was not inside linden/

> ls
cmake-SL2.sh*
linden/

> ./cmake-SL2.sh
You need slviewer-src !
---

You will note that I was not executing cmake-SL2.sh from within linden/

I added a "-x" to the first line of the cmake-SL2.sh file, and found that the error came from:

'[' -f '/usr/tmp/erlebach/slviewer-src-*.tar.gz' ']'
+ echo 'You need slviewer-src !'

In other words, the user should not unpack the files himself, but rather should put the tar files inside $PATH_TO_ARCHIVES/...

I will do this and try again. Stay tuned.

Ok. I ran reran the sh script, (which deleted the directory I was in and created a proper directory with the source fiels). I got an error stating to first run develop.py (why an error is beyond me). I ran develop.py from within indra/

./develop.py cmake

and got the build-darwin-i386/

I assume that the next step is to use xcode, using SecondLife.xcodeproj/

Can anybody please confirm this? Thanks.
Given that some people have compiled for the mac, I was wondering where they are and if they would help out? Thanks.
