Cool VL Viewer forum

Hi. For a couple of reasons, (pbr and dev quality) I am going to make coolVL tpv my primary viewer instead of my backup viewer. However. It will mean upgrading the version. I went to some trouble to place the install of the viewer and caches in their own folders, on a seperate partition, well away from C:\windows\blahblahblahblah\never find again. But that was over 2 years ago now.

Is there a dummies guide to such an upgrade ? I must keep my settings and stuff as they are arranged now. Thankyou for any advice.

Simply configure the cache folder from the "Preferences" floater "Network & web" tab, "Disk cache path" setting: use the "Set" button to open the directory selector, then navigate "Upper level" until you see all Windows drives listed, then down into the drive you want.

If your IM and chat logs reside elsewhere than in the default directory, you may also (once logged in), configure their path in the same way from the "Preferences" floater "IM & logs" tab.

PS: please, also write the viewer name properly: it is Cool VL Viewer, not "Cool VL" or whatever. I edited the thread title to fix this bad naming...
