I always use 'add' on whole folders, and remove stuff via the 'worn' tab. ;-)

I see this thread is a few years old, but it's exactly what i was looking for in search.

Any chance you would do an added option to debug settings or Preferences/Cool Features, like "Double-clicking a wearable inventory-item ADDs that item instead of WEARing it?"

Feeling like beating a dead horse here, but I recently switched back to Cool VL Viewer and while I'm basically thrilled to find back all my former habits which I had to relunctantly give up on while I was forced to use Firestorm, this is the thing that I just can't get used to: I'd really like to have a way to set the default behaviour for wearables to 'add' instead of 'wear'. This would do so whether I double-click on it or press 'enter' while it's selected in my inventory. Now that you can wear any number of wearables on the same clothing layer or on the same attachment point, having the default to 'wear' really feels weird to me…
Any chance that this could happen?
Thanks! :)

OK… :( Well, too bad… With these rigged or fitted mesh attachments that almost all attach to your right hand, you never know what you'll end up detaching if your forget to 'add' and just double-click… Not to mention you might detach something that you can't even see. Ah well… I guess I can live with that…

Nothing prevents you to attach them anywhere else (root/avatar center, for example), since rigged meshes (fitted or not) do not take the attachment point into account for rezzing/rendering...
