Avatar List in Local Chat?

By pressing the "<<" button in group or conference chat, you can get a list of the people who are currently in the chat. Is it possible to add something like this to the local chat history window? The way I see it working is that people within chat range (20m) are displayed with a normal font, while people outside of chat range but still within shouting distance (96m) are showed in a gray italic font.
