... a pain in the a**
Which libraries are needed so that CV on linux can play quicktime videos like SLCN?
I know it is possible, but every time i install a new pc i have to fumble around for days to get the right combination of codec packages 0_o
so... what exactly is needed? mp4 playback (youtube or the music channels in my @home tv) already works fine, just "old" quicktime doesnt.
bye, LC

The viewer uses gstreamer to decode videos under Linux. You need the QuickTime demuxer (libgstqtdemux.so), wihich is part of the gstreamer0.10-plugins-good package.

thanks henry! ... with that hint i found that on suse 11.1 i also need the gstreamer framework library libgstapp which is in a separate package called libgstapp-0_10-0 for some reason.
