Rightclicking group of objects deselects them

Post Rightclicking group of objects deselects them
When I right click group of objects the only one i've clicked remains selected. Not sure when it started, was fine before.
I can't, say, derender group of objects. or take group of objects (to take group of objects i have to go to menus).
