I've noticed at Sunrise and Sunset that under CoolVL the south side of a Sim is darker than the others. It's quite distinct. Here's an example:

I suspected this might be a bug but wasn't sure. I mean it might be some setting that I've missed. Does anyone else get this?

I cannot reproduce this graphics glitch, and since you don't give any detail on your hardware configuration, graphics driver version, viewer version, viewer settings, etc... 'nuff said.

In any case it looks like a graphics driver bug. If you are using the Cool VL Viewer v1.26.4, try using v1.26.6, and vice versa... They use different renderers and one of them could be better suited for your graphics card and/or driver.

I've seen something similar in the sky to the west: viewtopic.php?f=4&t=1092

Do you by chance have Basic Shaders enabled but Atmospheric Shaders disabled?

I didn't give such details because I wasn't sure it was a bug, and it occurred on different PCs with different cards. Will be checking out the thread mentioned elsewhere.

Ok, went to to that Sim and it's the same issue

All gone - wonderful! :D I have three PCs at home (in different rooms, used for mainly different purposes), each with varying hardware, and sometimes it's hard to remember which version of which was installed on what!

Glad to see that the problem doesn't appear in 1.26.6.x!

I've been using the legacy version 1.26.4.x because my system is older and has been having trouble with newer stuff. New hardware isn't in the cards for me at the moment but I'm going to see what I can do to improve things so I can run the newer stable version.

Cheers!
