Until about 3 months ago or so, we used to be able to see the parcel flags (between the menu and the parcel info up top) but I've been without this for a while.

Was this discontinued, disabled by some new debug option or what happened to them. The first few days caused me all sorts of issues because I had to check every parcel individually by stopping, opening up parcel properties etc just to assure the flags were correct. I naturally thought LL had screwed up bigtime (again) and cleared all the parcel properties.

This lack of feature slows down my normal activities from a quick 15 minute fly over each sim after rollovers to a 3/4 hour long venture.

So where do I find this now? The ONLY flag I ever see anymore is NO-PUSH!

Parcel flags work just fine... There may sometimes be issues with SL servers not advertizing them because of lag, but that's a very rare occurrence and always transitory.

odd... is there a debug setting that might have something to do with it?

Nope... Check your firewall settings, in case it would block some SL capabilities requests.

I just noticed that they do work but only in a few selected sims. I've looked over the estate functions but cannot fathom for the life of me why this is.

Well, I'm going to have to chalk this oddity up to LL's bungling (again) and assume it has to do with their setup of various sims on various server farms.

If it (magically) gets fixed over the future, I will make note of it.

They are working just fine in all current server release channels. It's something to do with your system, not with SL neither with the viewer itself... Again, check your firewall rules: the fact you see the flags in some sims and not others could be the result of some IPs being filtered out by your firewall...

*shrugs* I don't use any firewall except for the hardware. (MS firewall may as well be made of sulfur for all the practicality of it,) and nothing set for any SL or LL ips. Like I said, this is an anomoly that seems to be targetting my systems. No sign of trojans, or the like either.

Oh well.... On the plus side though, I only have to worry about it when LL are doing sim restarts. (their screw ups often reset sims to default levels - NO security/anything goes - a Griefer's paradise.)

You are therefore using a firewall !... Check that your "hardware firewall" (which also relies on a software for the firewalling) didn't auto-register some IPs as coming from hammering systems (some firewalls do have such auto-blacklisting features and can trigger false positives).
