Having used Windows 7 and Windows 8 from bootcamp on my retnia macbook, I'd defenatly go with Windows 8, it is much better suited for bigger resolutions than HD. All is crisp, and so is cool viewer on it, only thing I change is set the UI scalling to 1.2 so I don't strain my eyes.
