Request to add child prim search

I was wondering if it would be all possible to add a function to the Area Search? More specifically to be able to search for a child prim of a linked object. The reason for this is that I see some errors logged into the sim log file for startup. It would give me the item name that is causing the issue. I have discovered that the item in question was a child prim. But it took me ages to find it, and I have other items I cant find because the Area Search only searches for the parent prim name.
Also, would it be possible to add to the Area Search function to search for items for their UUID number? Sometimes, however rare, I do not have a name of the item, but a UUID number when the item in question is logged in the sim startup log.
Thanks, Geoff

Maybe add it to the Admin menu?

It is not possible to retrieve information for child primitives by other means than by selecting them (or the whole object they are linked in): that (the selection trick) is how the "Inspect" floater proceeds.
However, for next releases, I added a way to find an object containing any prim which UUID is given in place of a name, in the name field/input line of the "Area search" floater; if the UUID corresponds to the root prim, the name is printed in red in the list, or in black if the UUID corresponds to one of its child primitives. Since you can also open the Inspect floater from the "Area search", it is easy to get all the details once the root prim is found.

That should help out a lot. Can't wait to try it out. Thanks!

Works like a charm! I told others about it too and they love the ability to search by UUID!
Thank you! Geoff
