| Post subject: | Dual Logging? |
Dual logging is one of my favorite things to do. Very helpful when you are RolePlaying. I had been using a different viewer and dual logging was simply needing to hit shift and click the icon to open a new screen/instance of the viewer, allowing me to be logged into two accounts on two different screens at once. Is there a mode or method to do this with the Cool VL Viewer? |

Not sure what icon you are referring to, or what you try to achieve with SHIFT-clicking, but you may run simultaneously as many instances (launched in the usual way, independently from each other) of the Cool VL Viewer as your computer (RAM, CPU, GPU) can manage to cope with. Simply make sure that "Preferences" -> "Cool features" -> "Miscellaneous" -> "Allow multiple simultaneous viewer sessions" is checked. Be aware however that a few things might not work: the voice client, for example, can only be used in one instance (better disabling voice when running multiple instances), perhaps the joystick support could get affected too (not tested by me: I don't own a joystick). Also, caches will be read-only for all instances but the first that got launched. |
