Cool VL Viewer forum

i still cant get Voice to work i copied the files all ok
but now as soon as i log in i get a messaged
SL voice has stopped working

What is your operating system ?

Did you try with the official viewer to see if this problem is specific to the Cool SL Viewer or not ?

Vista is the OS sys ,and yes voice works fine in the stand SL Viewer 1.23 just upgraded to that aswell

v1.23 is still experimental... What version of the Cool SL Viewer are you using ?

Try v1.22, and also the official viewer v1.22 (since there are differences between v1.22 and v1.23, you can't compare the Cool SL Viewer v1.22 with the official viewer v1.23).

Please make sure you do not mix versions. The voice implementation in 1.23 is likely different from the one in 1.22 and may not work. Please copy the files from an official 1.22 viewer only.

Now using CV 1.23.5 on Mac OS 10.6.2 & 10.4.11
Voice isn't usable
(Altho it has appeared & been usable at random log ins)
Have set/reset prefs several times with no effect
Voice is active in LL viewer, but I am CV addicted
LL support referred me on (surprise, surprise)

Now it works with Mac OS 10.4.11 .... but still NOT with Mac OS 10.6.2

about voice i made blog post earlier, post about emerald, but works almost same with cool viewer also.
1) download official viewer from Lab, 1.23.5 or Snowglobe.
2) open application with right click (or ctrl-click if you on apple laptop with one trackpad button) -> show package contents
3) copy SLVoice libalut.dylib libllkdu.dylib libopenal.dylib libortp.dylib libvivoxsdk.dylib files from Contents/Resources folder to same folder in your cool sl viewer.app
4) enjoy voice and raised video performance.
