I'm seeing a modal come up after launching Cool on a fairly fresh Debian 9.3 (amd64) box. It comes up again any time the viewer wants to show a web page. I grabbed these lines out of the log that appear to be relevant:
I'm guessing I'm missing a library or something but I'm at a loss as to what, I have all the gstreamer libs installed as described in the Linux Install thread, but I don't imagine they're related to this. FWIW, Chromium 64.0.3282.119 is installed on this box (I'm using it right now to type this) and I'm using the standard GNOME 3 desktop, not sure if that helps but just in case... Any ideas? Thanks! |

I'm running a Fedora distro but libgconf-2.so.4 (for me) is part of 'GConf2: A process-transparent configuration system'. It isn't related to Gstreamer at all, but rather a configuration framework and editor. |

You will need to install the proper libgconf2 Debian package. Newer distros might not have it installed by default. This is a dependency of CEF (i.e. of libcef.so), not of the viewer (or the plugin) itself. To check for missing dependencies, you can, from a terminal pointing inside the viewer installation directory, type:
