Using Cool VL with Open Sim

Currently we are trying to use Cool VL on our OpenSim configured on port 9000 and at 127.0.0.1
It is trying to log in but gets hopeless locked up while trying to initialize the multimedia. I have disabled this in the options and it still gets stuck. Am I missing something here. How can I get past this point.

Without logs, impossible to know where you get stuck exactly (the "initializing multimedia" message is just the last displayed step, but there are many others that are not announced). In any case, if you can log in a live OpenSim grid, it's not an issue with the viewer, but rather with your local OpenSim server or your system (fire-walled port(s) ?).
