I had a try with the demo version of that collar... Its dialogs do not even show properly with the official SL viewer !!!

Here is the proof:

In fact, only the Windows build of Firestorm (the same Firestorm version under Linux behaves like the official viewer) will display the fancy pseudo-graphic characters in the dialog menu !!!

Such a low care in their scripts testing by this maker is a total shame !

I finally found how to reproduce Firestorm's Windows build behaviour: they simply list more Windows fonts as fallback fonts in fonts.xml... Here is the result for next release:

As a result I also removed the "extended character set" settings/hacks from next release (since they are not needed any more for Windows and won't change a thing under Linux, where automatic fallback happens with system fonts and fontconfig/freetype; sadly, Linux won't display such silly characters that only exist in M$ fonts...).

This said, that NGW scripter still deserves being shot in the head for utter stupidity (all this waste of time for fancy characters that don't display in all viewers, not even the official SL one, and serve no purpose whatsoever !)...

I happen to know the person behind NGW and he isn't the most organized fella I can tell... I understand he has someone making the scripting so typically they go over where the fence is at lowest. I'll give hims some feedback about this, you'd expect they had at least tested the official viewer...
