Is there a way of syncing avatar animations?

I can individually refresh animations on one avatar with the right click context menu but I cannot find a menu entry to refresh all avatar animations simultaneously.
This is mostly useful for couples animations, being petted and having someone poke their fingers in my eye isn't very visually pleasing!

"Syncing" the animations at the viewer side is not a solution... It may "look right" for you once "synced" this way, but won't for others.

Sadly, there is currently no good solution in SL for syncing animations (like there is, in LSL for pre-loading sounds and thus allowing to sync them when played) before they get played once (i.e. they got downloaded and cached) by everyone's viewer...

This would be a good question to pose at the Simulator User Group meeting (there are also already several JIRA issues about this, e.g. BUG-3455).

I didn't make my question very clear. It's for an entirely selfish, client side reason I'd like to sync them . Whether I'm at the same point in the animation as my friend doesn't matter as much as being visually in sync on my screen.
Most people I know use firestorm which has a shortcut for restarting all animations. Client side, but since it's almost ubiquitous, everyone does it on their clients' sides.

I switched to your viewer because it doesn't want to take 50% of my system resources simply to display a room with 2 people sitting together! (And, apart from this one lacking shortcut.function, seems to have all the tools and features I am used to)

I added such a function for next release (15 lines of code or so), even though I never needed it...

The anims may be out of sync the first time they play due to the time needed to download them, but the second time (and for as long as they stay in the cache), they will be in sync... Unless the script playing them is badly written and introduces itself a delay between the two llPlayAnim() calls.

That is wonderful news, Henri!

I have seen some (rather adult) furniture that attempts to precache animations by playing them for a fraction of a second when someone first sits but even then, connection speed seems to play a large part in how well they are synced. Rural internet, the nemesis of synchronized cuddles!
