I toyed around with the "Compress Textures" checkbox and noticed it makes some AA look bad:

With Compress Textures enabled, lots of pixels visible.

Without Compress Textures, much smoother.

Is this expected behaviour or a bug? The tooltip says stuff about colour issues etc, so maybe its expected for compressed textures.

Expected behaviour. This kind of compression is not loss-less, by far !

Just don't use it; it was merely implemented in the old days, because the graphics card had very little VRAM, but nowadays, all graphics cards have more VRAM than the viewer would ever need...
