Hi at all!

I would love to create prim with shared media. Is that possible with the CV? I couldn't find how to do it so far and it's not in the edit floater, right?

First make sure the "Play media when available" box is checked "Preferences floater", "Audio & Media" tab, "Media" sub-tab. Then open the Edit tools floater (CTRL 3), then, as shown in the screen shot below:

  1. Choose the "Select texture" tool.
  2. Select the face where you want to put the media on the primitive.
  3. In the "Texture" tab of the edit floater, click the "Add" media button.
  4. In the "Media settings" floater that opens, enter the media URL.
  5. Change any other setting you need in that latter floater and "Apply".

would it now be possible to create a hud for it to show and media by internet url? And if yes, do you know the api field/function to call?

I'm afraid I do not understand the question... Care to explain in details what you are trying to achieve ?

Okay: Currently I have a prim that shows pictures/textures that are somewhere on sl's servers in my Inventory or someone elses. The change of the pictures is done with a Hud that communicates with that prim and tells the picture board to load a particular texture found by UUID.

My question is: Is it possible to do the same when the prim is programmed to show shared media and to send the Internet URL changes via the/a HUD to the prim instead of using the Browser like menu direct at the prim?
