I noticed in the latest Windows version, Cool VL Viewer 1.23.5 (14) Apr 3 2010 21:21:30 (Cool VL Viewer), there's an option on the Admin menu, God Tools. When I clicked it, it rather alarmed me by saying I was entering "hacked God Mode". What does it do? It doesn't sound the sort of thing LL would want me to use. Or does it just show you what the God tools are, without allowing you to use them (I didn't want to find out by experiment)? |

There is no "Hacked god mode"... There is a "God mode" tool in the Admin menu, the latter appearing only when you check "Show Admin options" in the "Advanced" menu, just like in Linden Lab's official viewer. These tools (and everything in the "Admin" menu, as well as "Request Admin Status" in the Advanced menu) are not to be used by a normal user, and trying to use them will probably get logged by the grid and you'll probably get a notice that you can't use them. These options/tools are for admins only, like their name suggests... They may be of use if you run your own OpenSim grid/sim. |
